Automation Example #1- Printed Circuit Board Fabrication

The process to assemble multilayer printed circuit boards takes multiple operators to stack, align, and rivet laminated layers of circuit boards using several very expensive and large pieces of equipment. 

We were able to analyze this process and develop a machine that could automate the process of stacking, aligning, and riveting layers of printed circuit boards using visual recognition and thermal welders. Now ONE operator can run 2 machines simultaneously, performing twice the work.  See pictures below.
